National Campaigns Coordinator

Kate Guthrie

I am campaigns coordinator which entails me to keep up-to-date on the status of national campaigns such as Defend Primary Healthcare. This allows me to see how crossing borders can play a role. We also plan to work with entitlement and medicine du monde.

If you have any questions or any ideas of campaigns in your branch do not hesitate to contact me- um07keg@leeds.ac.uk

National Projects Coordinator

Position open!

The job of National Projects Coordinator involves keeping up to date
with all the projects being undertaken at branches across the UK. The
Project Pack is a vital tool which provides templates and tips for
branches to help in setting up and running all sorts of exciting
projects! During the year as projects coordinator I will be
contacting all branches for updates on projects, collating the
information and producing a brand new, up-to-date, pack. I'm the first
point of call for branches who want to set up new projects but are
unsure where to start - I'll do my very best to help, or find you
someone better qualified! I'll also be actively encouraging each
branch to choose a 'priority project' on which to concentrate. Please
don't hesitate to contact me with any queries regarding projects, new
or old, within your branch.

National Education Coordinator

Namali

The refugee and asylum seekers healthcare resource pack was compiled 2 years ago and this includes a compilation of lectures/ talks/ resources from academics across the country for people who would like to set up an SSM at their medical school. The education coordinator keeps this resource pack up-to-date and sends the CD to Crossing Borders branches or individuals who are keen in starting this as part of their curriculum or educate people outside of the set curriculum. There are also fabulous opportunities to help run CB workshops at the Medsin national conferences with the project and campaigns coordinators.

Webmaster

Surrin Dean

KCL

The website designer is responsible for keeping the Crossing Borders (crossingborders.org.uk) website up and running. This will mostly involve updating the website using information sent by other committee members and also some secretarial work like editing what's already on the site to keep it accurate. You will usually be told about any changes that need to be made and given a fair amount of time to get it done. It would be best if you have some experience with managing a website.
